How to code SuperCPU-compatible |
01:05 |
With X2001 an important c64-event is comming up quite soon. I take this opportunity to ask anyone who produces demos nowaddys to keep it compatible to the SuperCPU. You don't need to own a SuperCPU yourself, and it will all stay to be for the plain c64. There are only very little things to take care off and a few bits of code to add while coding to keep a production compatible to the SuperCPU. A list of them can be found on The SuperCPU Home. Thanks for your attention. Updated by MacGyber on 8th October 2004, 1:14h CET

Manik is searching for FTP space!!! |
01:54 |
Howdy all! Here is MANIK/CMM (ex-Laxity, ex-Amnesia, ex-Remember) on da keyz. I'm searching for about 300 MB of space on any stable FTP for my Games Collection. I want to upload all my disks with the best cracks even done somewhere on the internet. There is great list done by me www.manikus.sk/c64.zip so all the disks are now waiting for any cool place. Please, send me email, if you can help me with the space. All the disks are now online, but it's only 20kb/s line so quite slow for massive downloading. (This was posted in the reactions, but it definitely is a message worth your attention. CreaMD)

Quest For Cyrus delayed... |
10:14 |
Lorin Millsap from Pixel Pyramid Software writes with the unfortunate news of a delay in the release of the C64 game project
Quest For Cyrus, adding that a new release date for the title has not yet been set. "While I'm sorry to postpone the release, I would much rather leave a better first impression than to release a
second rate game to the public, permanently flawing my reputation." The delay is due to a major revision being made to QFC's Advanced Role-playing Kore (ARK), the heart of the programming behind the project.

GODOT is declared Public Domain!!! |
01:06 |
You won't believe it but it's true! Ultimate C64 Bitmap manipulating software by Arndt Detke is declared Public domain since 5th of september and is available for download since today. Here comes the words of author himself: "GoDot no longer is a commercial software. I declare GoDot to be public domain.
The free release of GoDot does not include any manuals or other written stuff,
so the owners of their rights still may sell their products as usual. Im sure,
however, that alternative articles and written help will be published soon, I'd
even like to encourage people to share their experiences and skills with other
GoDot users. At least, new publications from my side are in their makings."
Godot is downloadable from: this url in two sizes. One - containing only the major loaders and savers and the most
important modules - single D64 file: minimal version . The other is the complete
version accompanied by sample images and GoDot related supply taking five
D64's resp. one D81: complete version! (600kb!)
It should also be available here together with a lot of useful utilities: http://www.godot64.de/download/ And don't forget to also check the Godot website: http://www.godot64.de
"Have fun using free GoDot!" says Arndt. We can't do anything else, but only agree with him.

Cadaver of Metal Harem says farewell... |
21:39 |
Yes. It's sad but true. Here you can find very valuable pack with all his game-sources and info about development tools and techniques: http://www.student.oulu.fi/~loorni/software.htm. Direct link to 1,9 Mb zip file: here. Cadaver's games were fully developed with PC tools except the music for which he specially coded his own music editor called Sadotracker. A really heavy metal music editor so-to-speak. Cadaver's words: There won't be more stuff coming from me for the C64 because anything I'd want to do next (that'd be in the field of game programming, I'm not interested in
programming demos) would exceed the machine's capabilities. But enjoy the
source codes, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to email me at: loorni@student.oulu.fi I'll be glad to help anyone still programming on the C64. Lasse ??rni, 3rd September 2001 Cadaver, we will be missing you, but thanx for all you did for this machine. Thanx for support and sure I would disturb you with some questions in close future ;-).
