| Avengers demo group restarted |
13:31 |
We have restarted our demo group from the 80?s, called AVENGERS. We're based in Sheffield, U.K., and we have just purchased equipment from eBay (disk drive, C64, software etc). I'm just working on the graphics at the moment and my old mate Marc has started the code; we're working on a short demo first and then moving on to a short game in the coming months. You can up to date on Avengers news at www.c64.ukf.net. There isn't any info there yet, that will be going up soon.

| New Abuze Crunch version (3.71) |
13:24 |
Ive had this latest version sitting for a few months. I thought it would be nice to let anyone out there that uses older versions to have an updated version. Only 1 depack effect because I removed illegal opcodes from depacker, now safe for SCPU. I rewrote the non crunch section so it has better file handling so its safe for IDE64 users etc. and uses the device loaded from, no longer defaulting to device 8. It may be very slighly faster than older versions. It packs $0801-$f7ff ($100 more than overs based on TMAs V3.2). Go try stryyker.webhop.org to download. Enjoy.

| TRIAD/MACHO PROGRAMMING |
13:52 |
So, we?re back again, this time with a new demo...
"Macho Programming" should have competed at the Floppy 2003 party, but wasn?t completed in time. Luckily, King Fisher saved the day with his "Harmonious" demo which was released at the party instead.
But now it?s time to let "Macho Programming" go aswell. We tried to do it a bit different this time, going back to the roots... With this nicely wrapped easter egg, TRIAD wish you all a nice holiday!
Grab the demo from www.df.lth.se/~triad/triad/ftp/Triad/d64/2003/triad_macho_programming.zip.

| C-One production started |
12:12 |
After more than two years development time, the C-One production has started. Itll start selling on May 5th in Germany and the Netherlands. The other European partners of individual Computers should have the boards by May 9th, when the board will also be launched in North America. Many projects have dealt with re-configurable computers so far, but none of them is as consistent and flexible as the C-One. Other projects only kept parts of the hardware re-configurable, but the C-One can change the behaviour of its chipset even during runtime. Therefore, the C-One is the worlds first re-configurable computer. Read more on the official homepage of the C-One: www.c64upgra.de/c-one.

Like most puzzle games, Super Seven doesn't really have a story line; in this case the simple premise is to match two dice of the same denomination as one falls from the top of the screen and the other cycles past at the bottom. Read more in the review of the game first published at Lemon64 forums. Download the game here.

A new game is born, called Super Seven. This is a sort of original idea for a puzzle game, where you have to drop a falling dice onto another dice, but the four dice at the bottom, rotate immensly. When you play this game, please remove all C64 cartridges, as this game has got a cartridge/intro-linker protection decruncher. You can download from this link here.

I am planning to release an updated version of Amica Paint in the far future (I?ll finish my game Pac It first). If you have any requests for changes, don?t hesitate to ask. I will be basing on version 1.8 (or have you got a better version?) Already planned: - 3rd mouse button = scroll around (Micromys support) - faster displays / menus with no more flickering - slower pixelsetting for SCPU users - more gfx banks for SCPU (&REU?) users - good for anims - colourram bugfix and improved colour handling - easier keycontrol handling - a decent conversion to charset also taking the colram into consideration - IF I am clever enough to achieve it :) - SilverSurfer and IDE64?s PC-Link data transfer Feel free to bomb me with requests.

14:09 |
Do you lead a busy life? Probably, and I do as well. Nevertheless, there's one item which has been one and the same in my calendar for four years until now. About the 3rd weekend in March it always says: FOREVER! It stands for the Forever 8-bit party, probably the biggest 8-bit multiplatform party of today, which is regularly hosted by the town of Trencin in Slovakia. Simply put, this is a party report from Forever Quattro (the official name of the 4th Forever) which took place March 14 - 16, 2003.
