New C64 & C128 pages related with the CP/M |

There are many infos about the Z80 cartridge (CP/M 2.2) for the C64 and even more infos about the "making of" CP/M 3.0 (CP/M alteration) for the C128, also a new program to extract (and create) C64 "CP/M" disk images (there was no tool, StarCommander is not handling such disk formats), tipps for the REU handling and 256 KB upgrade also.
Any suggestions to expand the pages are welcome.
See www.8086.info/c64 and www.8086.info/c128 for the content.

Photoshop compatible C64 image plugins |
19:00 |
Just released: ConGo-Plugins - they make it possible to work with Commodore images in your favourite image editor - be it PhotoShop, PaintShop or whatever. The package consists of:
- Import plugin to read many popular Commdore formats (all those that ConGo understands, from basic Hires to Interlaced FLI) and even Schneider/Amstrad CPC and Sinclair Spectrum images.
- Export plugin to write a number of Commodore formats. Supported modes are the same as ConGo’s: IFLI**, FLI*, MCI*, Multicolor*,GoDot-4Bit, Hires* (*: not available in current Beta, **: available but not yet optimized)
- Filter plugin to apply typical Commodore image format restrictions to images you are working with in your image editor. Supported formats are: Interlaced FLI, Multicolor-Interlace, FLI, Multicolor, Hires, 4-Bit (GoDot), 2-Color-Hires, all with or without dither. 16 (and less) color modes support different Commodore palettes.
Currently, the components are in Beta status. Any feedback about bugs etc. is welcome.
For more details and a download version see www.editorix.org/congo/html/congo_plugins.html .
The downside is - I cannot give away the plugins as I did with ConGo, ConGoSE and DemoAmp. See my website for details.

Another edition of Floppy has passed, so I guess it's time for another Dark Court as well. By now you should know the routine: I tell you what I think about a bunch of demos, and then you collectively attack me on my point of view. After all, why change a winning formula? Here are the reviews of the top 5. In case you have missed the releases, download them from here.

New 64COPY v4.0 finally released |
02:27 |
After what seems like an eternity, and was likely around two years, Peter Schepers has finally released a new version of 64COPY (version 4.0b1), the emulator file conversion utility and updated all of the FORMATS documents as well. The CHANGES.TXT file for 64COPY is enormous, as it encompasses everything he has added, fixed or upgraded during that time frame. The biggest additions are: 1. New GCR conversion: Convert between G64, F64/D64, D64+error bytes, and ZipCode Sixpack 2. Pull-down menus and pop-up menus available everywhere. 3. Added CheckF64 and greatly enhanced CheckG64. 4. Greatly enhanced HELP system 5. Too many major fixes and additions to list. Here we go:
The games "Alice in Wonderland" and "Below the Root" are now available for download at www.neef-online.de/tac. Of course they are compatible to all drives and partitions.
Even more there is DCMR, the ultimate catalog program for the CMD-HD. It cataloges up to 144 files of any type of partition in only 3 seconds. So forget about Super Sorter or any other catalog program you have used before. Once you have used DCMR you never ever want to miss it...

Great parties deserve the corresponding publicity. Floppy 2004 ? ?The Smell Of Data? - is definitely one of them. Maybe it is not the most crowded party of the year, but definitely on of the most valuable for the creative C64 scene. The sceners from Sweden and surrounding countries have again proven which region is currently leading the C64 demo scene. Enjoy the report and a small photogallery at the bottom of the article.

Game Over(view) Issue #3 |
12:48 |
It?s the start of another shitty month, which means that it?s time for another shitty issue of Game Over(view). This month we play catch up on the people who cried unfair that we reviewed someone else?s game but not theirs, and complain that everyone else is just as lazy and as shoddy as us, as well as the usual round of new ones, with all of the incompetence and ineptitude that make us virtually anonymous in the scene.

New CMD Utilities disk now available |
10:35 |
The new CMD Utilities disk is now available. For anyone who has a copy already ordered, you?ll be receiving it in the mail within the next week.
This includes the new WCOPY+ program which can copy files to / from IBM-formatted disks and supports the Windows long-filename format. This helps to preserve your Commodore filenames when going back and forth between systems.
The CMD Utilities disk is now available for ordering through my online store at: cmdrkey.com/shop/index.php
There will also be a page on the cmdrkey.com site where you can download a free stripped-down version of WCOPY. It should be available sometime tonight. You?ll find a link on the main page at cmdrkey.com when it?s ready.
