MW4 goattracker music pack |
15:02 |
These are the original music files of "Metal Warrior 4" before conversion into Ninjatracker format. Some tunes (those that were done directly in Ninjatracker) are not included and many tweaks were done even to the rest, so these dont correspond exactly to whats in the game, but might be still useful for checking out melodies or ripping instruments. :) Theres also couple of tunes NOT in the game.

Exomizer 1.1.4 released |
21:45 |
Version 1.1.4 of the cross platform C64 cruncher Exomizer has been released. The release includes dos, linux and win32 executables, decruncher assembler source code and full source code for the Exomizer itself. New in this release are:
- A contrib section containing sourcecode for a decruncher by Ninja / The Dreams for 4k-demos or similar usage where every byte counts.
- The -l flag now acceps the keyword auto. This will automatically calculate and use the highest possible load address of the crunched file that won?t corrupt in-memory decrunching.
- The standard decruncher sourcecode is improved. Decruncher now 11 bytes shorter and somewhat faster.
The exomizer is also available for download over at the excellent Covert Bitops site and from the great C16/Plus4 site Plus/4 World.

Retro Gamer issues on eBay. |
11:43 |
Not so much of a big deal I guess as there are many people trying to cash in through eBay selling their back issues of Retro Gamer magazine; However, Allan Bairstow is auctioning the first four issues (issue 4 will be available on the 27th May for UK people) and the money raised will go towards the CS-Doom64 challenge "Programmers money pot". Check out the link here . Retro Gamer have also interviewed the Protovision team, which will be included in issue 5 or 6. Cheers.

New c64 music compo |
16:46 |
Borg1.6 Dissassembler |
14:20 |
Hi.
I wrote this program because I was tired of switching between emulator , real c64 and my cross-dev enviroment.Basically what it will do is load a .prg file and then dissasemble into a textbox that you can cut and paste from. This is particularly usefull if you have a compiled .PRG and have lost the source code for it. I should warn you though .. its by no means free of bugs ..
If you have any functionality suggestions I would be happy to take them on board.
The Dissasembler can be downloaded here:

C64 Photoshop Plugins released |
10:24 |
The final release of the ConGo C64 Photoshop Plugins is now available from www.editorix.org/congo/ . Several new features from the current ConGo development were added (like a raster grid and "color number warnings"), all image formats can now be saved to disk as well, even image conversion has got better. As in the beta version, you can load all the many C64 image formats that ConGo understands directly into any Photoshop plugin compatible Windows image editor (like Paintshop, Photopaint or Canvas), you can apply C64 format restrictions to any image and you can export any PC format to C64.

Interview with Honey of 1001 Crew |
19:20 |
Everyone knows Honey and the 1001 Crew. They were one of the top teams between 1985 and 1987 and were the first to break the side-border and put sprites in all borders with ESCOS. C64hq is the first ? and will always be the first ? to give you an interview with one of the guys after 17 years of silence. Its a real scoop, dont you agree?
Read the interview and check out the rare pictures featuring members from Triad, Boys Without Brains, The BAM, Purebyte and SCC.

N0stalgia #150 - What a load of balls! |
22:02 |
Well, marbles at any rate as the lovely although somewhat sphere-fetishistic Nostalgia team bring you yet another classic for release number 150 in the shapely form of Marble Madness +3DHR. Originally released as a two player game, what most people didnt realise was that this game had some unused code to support four players and, with some small modifications and a large amount of testing, this new version runs as it was originally intended. Now go and have a ball! The game can be downloaded from the N0S website at www.nostalgia.c64.org and more information on the four player adapter can be found at Protovisions site over at www.protovision-online.deN0stalgia - Still Rolling Along

Game Over(view) Issue #5 |
17:27 |
Like all of the things you hate about life, Game over(view) keeps moving on, bringing you issue #5. Featuring yet more new c64 game reviews, as well as the usual shite that you know and hate, you probably shouldnt encourage its continued production by downloading it. Unless you enjoy the sort of pain which can only come from a truly terribly diskmag.
