Can you write a text adventure in under 2K of RAM? |
02:52 |
Lotek64 #10 released |
17:46 |
The 10th issue of the German language magazine Lotek64 can now be downloaded from here! Get and now and happy reading!
|
|
We need some extra text-editors for ArachnoPhobia!
Everybody who wants to help, is welcome. I need editors who can edit a separate (or more) chapter (c64-related only!) every 4 (or maybe 5) months. These chapters can be done in .txt format which we can convert to the c64.
I need your support before Sunday. If I have not enough support (I need at least 5 new steady editors!) before Sunday, then this diskmagazine will die!
It is your choice...
(it doesn?t matter which kind of chapter you like to write, it matters that you can do it every 4-5 months!)

Big success Dutch Retro Event ! |
11:11 |
The Dutch Commodore Club organized a spectaculair Retro Game and Computer event in Holland at saturday june 19th.
All clubs, groups and some Dutch computermuseums has joined us at this memorable day. There are 90 pics of our succesfull retro game and computer party on our website. About 500 guests showed up! All roads around the accommodation (Maarssen-centre) were blocked.... It was an unbelievable beautifull day with all kinds of special things, like the only copy in the world of a Spiderman game for the Videopac. A very huge game and watch collection, a lot of (some rare) Galaxians, Mspacman, Frogger Table Top computers, a Virtual Boy, Samba DAmigo, a big amount of all kinds of Commodore computers and lots and lots more. There were so many computers and the most of them were playable for the visitors. Also there was a possibility to sell, buy and to exchange games and computers. A lot of Dutch press showed up like the two greatest newspapers, a few magazine and some radio reporters. Hopefully we can organize this next year again! Look for a lot of pictures on: commodore-gg.hobby.nl/

Commodore World Press Conference in Hilversum (Netherlands) starting 10:00 AM today |
09:29 |
The obviously new formed Commodore division of Tulip Computers, NL, named "Commodore World", is doing a public press conference today.
You are invited to watch it through a mms-Stream; the adress seems to be mms://streams.hosting.nob.nl/yeahronimo . The press room of Commodore Worlds website is to be found at www.commodoreworld.com/press/ ; it seems to be updated in time with the happenings in the press room.
Besides that, Commodore World registered some Commodore-related domains (which point all to the same adress, btw):
www.commodore.nl , www.commodoreworld.com and www.commodore.net
Allthough this pages just show a picture telling us about "MP3 Memory Sticks, Music & Movies, DVD & CD Merchandiese and Online Games Download", one can hope that this company is at least going to announce the Commodore-Joystick TV-console publicly.
So much suspicion for now, let us wait and hope,
Greets,

While reading recent additions to the plugin collection for FAR, the best file manager in existence, I found a recently released C64-related plugin, which allows FAR to treat .D64 files like archives and open, read and extract them. The author, Peter Zoltan, promises .D64 updating & creating capabilities soon. The plugin can be found here: plugring.farmanager.com/downld/files/fard64v101.zip

Another month, another issue of Scene World?s favourite diskmag, Game over(view). Containing reviews of a a pitiful 2 new games, we hence had more time to write even more of the pissy ranting that everyone someone has come to expect, all lovingly thrown together in the same tired outfit that you know and don?t particularly feel anything about.
