Been done Fade, during one of the comp.sys.cbm/sinclair flamewars about five years or so ago... The CPC has some advantages but they arent really on the games side of things - 16K for a bitmapped screen and only a Z80a to shunt it around anyone...?

H0ll0wman, good plan with just two small flaws:
1. That would require, among other things, a clever collision detection and a real multiplexer - and Im not able to code any of those things.
2. Ive never reached level 3 which makes it kinda hard for me to do a c64 version of the game. Yes, Im crap at playing games too.
But you were joking, werent you.

.."Infinite time" cheat in real-life would also be nice for all proposed Amiga->C64 or arcade->C64 conversions..

mermaid, atleast i got a solution for flaw 2: type FANTASY and then use F1-F5 to get extra weapons, lives etc. i dont think ive gotten very far without cheating either.

Nice to see the Forever 2003 visitors list on-line! Cmon people, register, I wanna see you all, either again, or for the first time!
A question for CreaMD: Who is the author of the "official" name of the party? Forever "Second edition" was stupid enough, but Forever "Quattro" tops it! :)
[13] :
04. Feb 2003 13:25
Speccy dudes of course ;-) But anyway I like those special names ;-) Especially this one. Next year will be also great lets guess... Forever Pentium? Or Forever Quattro Deluxe? Btw 4ever is a nice name for this year too. Anyway Visitors list here

At least Im glad that after the poll ends there will be no more fuzz about Micro Mart anymore. Concerning its support of 8 bit scene I can only say that its less than zero. Sorry A.B. but from now on that page is marked *AVOID* for me. Lets get back to real 8 bit world. Retro Stinks!

Creaaamd.... the thing cant support open sideborder when its a line based emulation :o)

Then it must mean someone who wrote the specs is either lying or not knowing what he is talking about.
CreaMD
[38] :
18. Feb 2003 11:22
You *can* support open borders with a line based emulation, but its hard to do it accurately. The simple way would be to open the borders if $d016 was manipulated on that line, regardless of if its in the correct cycle or not. Youd just be more forgiving than a real VIC is, but the demos would still run correctly.
MagerValp
[39] :
18. Feb 2003 18:04
mager: maybe that might work....havent seen an emulator that would do that though, since its probably introducing more problems than it solves
gpz
[40] :
18. Feb 2003 18:48
Well other than accidentally opening the border when it shouldnt, I dont see a problem. Youre trading one visual glitch for another. It wouldnt be too hard to make sure that its in roughly the right cycle, and that would cut down on erroneous border openings.

Hey CreaMD buddy, how about some more information about the Forever party? Like e.g. where it is, whats the entrance fee etc.? Only two weeks and something left, maybe there are some people who really want to go to the party :) And youre an organizer or something, right?

Cresh: Thanks for your try anyway. I know the official party site but still I miss some essential info, e.g.: a map (I know its SPS Odevna, Im Czech, so I even understand what it is, but I dont know WHERE IN THE TOWN it is), when the party place opens etc. And as CreaMD is the C64 section organizer, I just ask him here. Gee, its 2 weeks 4 days before the party. If we want more people to be there, we should give them more information... Its not about those who were to the party before, its about bringing NEW FACES there, and thats where we fail - and as long as theres not enough info, well keep on failing :-C
