This number scares me so much that even I’m composing a ’music’ to enlarge the number of competing tunes :) At least it will be a benchmark for other musicians: if you can’t do better than THIS, you’re hopeless ;> (this smiley is copyrighted by me under the nickname ’Malicious Ninja’). See you at the party and I hope Richard’s music will rock :) BTW, if the HW organizers don’t bring a microphone this time, I’ll probably ruin my vocal chords (again).

Dont count on it dude! Im pretty sure there will too much tunes again ;-)). Imo 15-20 would be ideal for the quality compo.

I had no time for composing, and at the moment, I dunno if I can compose a _very little_ tune in only 2 days...but I try to do it. Obviously, itll be nothing outtamind, but with a music Ill able to exist in this Forever edition too. Anyway, Ill be virtually present in the WildCompo for sure: bubis probably will finish the Plus/4 demo tonight, then hell record it on a tape, and this weekend youll watch it at the party; the music of that demo will complete the fixers series, hope youll enjoy it.

Is it true that .sk customs wanted to charge tax or an import fee on the c64s that Sad and LHS tried bringing in? Whats the story...
[30] :
16. Mar 2003 14:04
Yes, they said its not allowed to bring old machines to SK, later they have estimated price of their equipent to around EUR 100 and wanted 60% from the to pay as deposit that they will bring it back. So SAD and LHS had to leave the equipment at the border.Other people didnt have any problem (there was around 20-30 systems set up at partyplace) Exile (Holland) even managed to bring a lot of weird old machines to give out to visitors. Seems like officers dont want to mess up with english or german speaking foreigners (its too hard for them to explain ;-). Other guys (no names ;-) had to bribe the officers (EUR 50) to get over border because car insurance wasnt signer by driver of the car (or something like that) ;-) Results coming up soon

Ooopsa, sorry :) WELL DONE! Anyway, a littil problem is that with the numbered list in HTML you get wrong places. After shared places 10 and 11 the next number should be 12, not 11. And the same goes for my music, it was 13.-14. not 12., unfortunately :) Anyway, great job and sorry for the mess!
Wotnau
[41] :
17. Mar 2003 10:43
No problemo. I did that numbering intentionally as when there is shared 11th place, there should be 12th place following... I did the same in case of the Sid II competition.

Ahahahah, lol! What dyou mean with "Commodore Plus/4 demo"? Its name is largely shown on the screen, I guess, isnt it? :D
[43] :
17. Mar 2003 10:58
Well you dont know all the details of the story. We had problems to show it on big screen either due to a lousy video or some other problem with projector connection, so we had to run it on a TV screen. Anyway people were so interested that they moved from their chairs closer to the TV ;-)). Ive been sitting far away from it and runned the Hearthfixer tune from my C64 machine. Anyway the demo should be called "Heathfixer" right?
CreaMD
[44] :
17. Mar 2003 11:01
I have tape over here btw. Maybe you guys could make a DIV-X version of your demo so we could spread it on C64.sk it was really nice demo. Or Ill release an file with instructions how to run it on emulator. I have to D/L YAPE myself anyway.
CreaMD
[45] :
17. Mar 2003 11:12
I?ve just checked the demo in YAPE. Cool stuff, but lousy SID emulation. ;-(
creamd
[46] :
17. Mar 2003 11:17
Yes, its name is "Heartfixer" (casually ;))), and both with bubistape and YAPE youll hear it in a wrong c64 emulation that kills the piano fx (apropo, thanx CreamD for substituting the music with the real machine). You could put in also the .sid data file...

17. Mar 2003 16:54
Sorry for the bad recording if it is my fault. I probably have to discard my video recorder. I couldnt record good quality video to the begining of the tape. It occursed to me in the last minite to try the end of the tape and it worked. But it wasnt good enough and that was the problem I think. Thank you for showing this demo nevertheless the circumstances.
