No, the minigame compo has NOT started, please remove this entry.

[11] : 06. Jun 2004 16:48
Or wtf... there appears to be some confusion. Steve is out of town for two weeks, and the compo is not going to start while he’s out.
MagerValp

[12] : 07. Jun 2004 02:53
Mager, but page say the minigame compo has started... okay I’ll move the news to beta news but page say the else.. if you change yout mind please repost the minigame compo anounce again.
CreaMD

[13] : 07. Jun 2004 11:35
Maybe the form (rules, schedule) has been fixed, but the management is not yet ready to process incoming entries? From Steve’s post on the MiniGame BBS, it appeared like the compo was about to start, and while he was away, MagerValp et. al would be in command...
Anders Carlsson

[14] : 07. Jun 2004 11:41
Yes Steve did write that for some reason, much to the surprise of me and the others... :) As you can see on the page, it’s clearly not quite ready for primetime. We just need a few days to get everything fixed up, and we’ll make an official announcement. In the meantime, feel free to start working on your 1k or 4k minigames :)

someone please delete that spam from markus siebold from the "news".
Mr.Alpha

[19] : 07. Jun 2004 23:31
From the Siebold site: "Please do not write any messages or invitations to me referring the Commodore C64, retro-scene or remix-scene... thanks!" Now that’s a clear statement that he doesn’t want to have anything to do with us nerds. ;-)
Obviously he prefers doing mp3 tunes instead, but then... where’s the relevance to c64.sk...? :-/

is it just me, or does that questionaire thingy look a bit dubious?
gpz

[27] : 12. Jun 2004 08:02
[26] yes, that’s why I’ve contacted the (supposed) author. I wonder if he had answered while my domain was down, but probably not.I ususally do not get answers from this kind of advertisers.

Anyway, how many times I have to repeat I have to repeat that this is not a retro-site. ;-/ That Commodore16.com post is also quite out of topic.

[32] : 15. Jun 2004 15:27
Jim Butterfield didn’t design the 6502, and the C64 doesn’t have a 6509...

[33] : 15. Jun 2004 15:46
I tried to ask at CBM hackers for e-mail of Jim Butterfield but so far nobody answered. I tried google but somehow failed to find contact. Can anyone help?
CreaMD

[34] : 15. Jun 2004 18:40
CreaMD, Jim can be usually found in comp.sys.cbm. Anyway, in his most recent post he stated his address is: fjb[AT]pathcom[DOT]com (replace appropriate anti-spam parts).

I answered and emailed in the questionaire, and posted it here http://my.tbaytel.net/macbeth/blogger.html - if you like, could any of you post your completed survey somewhere so others can read it? I’d like to see what others are thinking.

[38] : 16. Jun 2004 10:05

[40] : 16. Jun 2004 10:29
[38] Contact established yesterday ;-). Macbeth, I?ve got e-mail adressed to B.B. and me, by Greg Nacu. It was sort of harsh reaction, but in the line with the non-retro attitude. Anyway, I would suggest to post this kind of questionaire to comp.sys.cbm (if it?s not already there) and especially to the lemon64.com/forums where the unbiased* retro C64 users use to live ;-) *Unbiased in the sense of accepting of the new technology.

[48]: Speaking on which, do you have a fantasy lineup for a Commodore football team? I’m thinking both C= employees, important programmers, artists, magazine people, gurus, demo groups etc. They would not neccessarily need to be athletic, but maybe have the right character you expect for the position. Right now I’m too tired to motivate one single name for a lineup. Maybe Tramiel can be there on the coaches’ bench, a typical elderly fat guy screaming until he resigns.
